About Us
Dixie Rail Car was started by Randy Bowers, a 21 year car man, who previously worked for Conrail and CSX and Cranemasters. He started his career in 1999 in Selkirk, NY. under Conrail which came under CSX shortly later. Starting out working a box car project line, he worked various yard jobs to include the heavy repair tracks, expedite repair truck, and yard inspection.
Dixie’s workforce is well diversified to work on any and all type of freight cars.

Location
Dixie rail car is located just off the CSX main line in Wadesboro, NC. between Hamlet and Charlotte, NC under SPLC 41693000. Registered in Railinc under shop mark D632. We offer quick turnaround time at competitive rates with unmatched quality. We can accomplish most any type car project work in shop and man a mobile repair unit capable of wheel changeouts at industry if needed.
DRC operates within the Carolinas but can travel as needed with very low travel rates.
